We had a pretty fun night last Friday. We took the kids (minus Matt who was house sitting) to go see the American Idols Live Concert at the Sprint Center here in Kansas City. It was a great concert, even though it was super loud, and we all had a little temporary deafness after. It was interesting to see the mix of people at the concert. I thought it would be mostly young people, but really there were plenty of middle aged people like us and quite a few older people. Jack did not want to go and fought us about it, but we assured him he would like it. It was so funny to watch him during the concert. He was dancing and singing, and decided it was totally awesome. I have to say that seeing the top 10 perform live cemented our top pick of David Archuleta. Man, that kid can sing! He has an amazing voice and he is so darn cute!!! Mike and Jace loved Kristy Lee Cook : ) and she really surprised me with how much improved she is as a performer. And I really liked Brooke White's and Chekezie's perfomances. David Cook was great too, and the home crowd went absolutely wild. He came out wearing a Kansas City Chiefs jersey. It was great. Definitely a night we will remember for a long time.
